Is the SA HSE AI Prompt Handbook specific to South African law?
Yes. Every prompt is written around South African legislation — OHSA No. 85 of 1993, the Mine Health and Safety Act 29 of 1996, ISO 45001:2018, SANS 45001:2018 and related regulations. You will not get generic international content that needs to be adapted.
Who wrote the SA HSE AI Prompt Handbook?
The handbook was written by Monique Botha, HSE professional and founder of hseprompts.co.za. It carries a foreword by Ken Annandale, CEO of Intrasafe and one of South Africa's most respected health and safety trainers with over 30 years of experience.

What is the difference between Vol 1 and Vol 2?
Vol 1 (Core Edition) covers the foundational HSE prompts — risk assessments, toolbox talks, incident investigations, safety policies, ISO 45001 audit prep and general HSE documentation. Vol 2 (Specialised Edition) covers sector-specific and advanced prompts for mining, construction and manufacturing environments.
How many prompts are included?
Vol 1 contains 46 ready-to-use prompts across four categories: procedure prompts (10), toolbox talk prompts (12), content generation prompts (12) and image generation prompts (12). Vol 2 contains additional specialised prompts.

Which AI tools does the handbook work with?
The prompts work with any major AI assistant including ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot and Google Gemini. No paid subscriptions or technical setup are required — a free account on any of these platforms is sufficient.
Do I need to know how to use AI already?
No. Chapter 0 is a 60-second Quick-Start Guide that gets you producing professional HSE outputs from your very first prompt. The handbook is designed for non-technical HSE professionals with no prior AI experience.
Can I use the prompts on my phone on-site?
Yes. The PDF opens on any smartphone using a free PDF reader app. You can copy prompts directly from the PDF into ChatGPT or Claude on your phone. No internet connection is needed to read the PDF once downloaded.
How do I write a risk assessment using AI in South Africa?
The handbook's Prompt 4.1 provides a complete, OHSA-aligned risk assessment prompt. Copy it, fill in your company name, province and industry type, paste it into ChatGPT or Claude, and a full risk assessment framework is generated within minutes. The output is aligned to OHSA No. 85 of 1993 and ISO 45001:2018.
Can I use AI to prepare for ISO 45001 certification in South Africa?
